Installing your bathtub can be done by as a do it yourself project, you just need somebody that will help you with it. This can be challenging for you since you have to estimate and consider the size of your bathroom space, especially if you have a small one. If you are just simply making a replacement of your old bathtub, then less work is involved. But if you will be putting in a new bathtub then try to consider the things that you need to know:

1. Make a certain to measure the size of your bathroom to estimate the space that will be consumed when you put in the tub. Make sure there is room for the new fixtures and that they will fit.

2. Place shims that will level the bathtub and use a carpenter’s level.

3. Tighten it very well into the connection to the basket drain and use a wrench to wrap the plumbing with Teflon tape.

4. Install a faucet to the wrapped plumbing for water flow.

5. Seal the bathtub with caulk and make sure that it will not shake or move.

6. Open the main supply of water and check if there are leaks. Allow the water to flow for a while to be sure that there’ll be no leaks and wait for one day for everything to dry before using your new tub.

It’s not an easy task to install a bathtub. But why bother to hire someone else if you have the knowledge to do the job and if you have the tools at hand?
