Save water in your Garden

Water is one of our most important natural resources. It is important for you to know the amount of water consumption in your garden.
Here are some of the things you need to know:
1. Use water only when it is needed. You don’t have to drown your plants in water since that can damage the plants. Most plants don’t need to have a lot of water. Dig at least 3 inches deep into the pot of your plants and to see if the soil is still dry and if you need to put more water on your plants.
2. If you are starting to grow a garden try to put a cover onto the roots of the plants with straw to save the moisture in the soil.
3. You can use a recycled bottle, cut the bottom of the plastic bottle and place into the ground near to the roots of the plants. In this case, the water will not evaporate and this will prevent the water from sitting on the surface of the soil.
4. Water your plants at least once a day and do it in the morning. This will allow the water to sink onto base of your plants. You can also save water in doing it only once a day.
Plants need water to grow for they are living organisms that like us humans need attention and care. Besides energy from the sunlight they need a variety of care to survive. But over watering your plants is not a good idea for you are destroying them. Besides water they need photosynthesis, minerals and nutrients to make them grow fast. Another important factor is where you plant them.
