Tile Replacing

Over time or with an accident or two, your floor will need to be replaced. Today most floors are made of tile. Here are some easy steps to repairing broken tiles. Materials needed are replacement tiles, an iron, towels and adhesive material.
• First you need to inspect your floor for pieces that look worn down or old. Then remove those necessary pieces to make room for the new pieces. This individual task can take many hours. Hopefully, you have some extra tiles you either saved or have lying around somewhere. Heat the iron up and then place on the tile to be removed.
• Pull away old tile from the surface slowly.
• Take off any excess adhesive from the previous tile and get the new tile ready to be placed. The adhesive to be used should not be older than the expiration date. This can cause poor results in the tile replacing process.
•
Place the new tile down with adhesive evenly on the surface. Press firmly allowing the surface to make contact with the tile. Try to make sure that no bubbles are present. The area should be allowed to dry carefully, before walking on it.
• Take a cloth with water and wipe away any excess adhesive anywhere. The repair should fit in perfectly; your work here is done.
